phpBB este una dintre cele mai cunoscute solutii free pe care le poti folosii pentru un forum in zilele noastre… Din nefericire este si unul dintre cele mai proaste scripturi facute vreodata.
Pe 13 decembrie a fost lansat versiunea gold a phpbb 3. Sincer m-am uitat doar vag pe el, dupa ce l-am instalat, pentru ca imi aduc aminte acum cativa ani, cand 2-ul mi-a dat mari mari dureri de cap si suferinta!
Nu-l recomand cu toate imbunatatirile facute!
Ce solutie folosesc?
SMF – Simple machines forum , un script pt. forumuri tot free, o solutie pe care o folosesc de un an si ceva si nu m-a dezamagit nici macar odata din momentul primei instalari. 
Pur si simplu tare scriptul. Intr-un timp ajunsasem sa lucrez numai pe el la majoritatea siturilor care necesitau un portal si forum, pentru ca este absolut foarte usor sa lucrezi pe el.
API cu functii detaliate (SSI.php) , o comunitate activa si update/upgrade foarte usor de facut, si ce sa mai zic, tare!
Sigur nu trec pe altceva in viitorul apropiat…
Am incercat si eu diferite variante free / platite, la un moment dat chiar am cumparat licenta pentru IPB dar mi-am dat seama ca nu era ceva extraordinar fata de scripturile gratuite. Cu toate astea am ramas impresionat de MyBBoard care e gratis si pe care il folosesc intensiv de prin 2005. Are features comparabile cu VBulletin (Admin CPanel este foarte asemanator) si preia multe idei si de la IPB. Nu zic ca asta este cel mai bun script care a aparut vreodata etc etc dar din cate am testat pana acum a fost singurul care m-a convins sa raman la el. Daca ai vreodata timp si chef incearca-l si vezi cum ti se pare. Sunt curios ce parere o sa-ti faci despre el
